isolate a problem

set boundaries
build your vitrine around it
examine
study
backwards
forwards
flip, reverse
analyze
try old algorithms
look for new patterns
can we hold onto reason?
or must it be abandoned?
shall we begin the guesswork?
grab a vice if
this gets too unruly
where’s the solution
where’s the solution

There may not be a solution

fuck
smash the glass
pour a glass
draw the curtains
turn off the lights
light a candle

burn.

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
