arguing with myself

If I attempt to translate,

communicate,

my thoughts

on the futility

of human efforts

in regards to

the eternal,

my inability to accept

anthropocentric ideologies,

what would you do?

If I told you that when I look at

the human race

I see a massive herd

of animals

running around

making noises

in order to assert our

supreme importance

in a pathetic attempt

to justify

turning our natural habitat,

our shared reality,

into a languid wasteland

so that we might live in our

ludicrous conception of

comfort

or luxury,

what would you say to me?

I’m not saying I’m right,

I’m asking someone to prove me wrong.

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
