“As long as philosophy has to make its prime business the provision of safeguards against error, truth will be bound to have its martyrs.”

I seem to recall
a time
where I had a goal
         PURPOSE
I strove
to find
the beauty
in anything—
                    everything
—that I perceived.
But logic/reason knows nothing of compromise.
Its boundaries cannot be pushed
strict
it will not concede
and so the beauty faded
replaced by sensory analysis
intellectual journeys into
the absolute
cold
lonely
nights
tomorrow
tonight
now
the search for
Beauty
begins

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
