Obliged by my

           conscience
empathy-fear-paranoia-respect
restrict love
to limit my freedom-selfishness
and cooperate.
This verse
is tragically revealing
but for now I’ll
plead “busyness”
the inability to confront
and dissolve
into ambiguous oblivion
as I decontextualize
and reconstitute
in order to coordinate
a symphonic harmonious
tolerance
as I slowly navigate
responsibilities and
manipulate my means
in order to
            materialize
                         the ideal

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
