The oxymoronicality of a subjective cosmological satire

The chains of apathy hold me up
as I latently struggle
to break free
into this world of boundless limitations
I rest tirelessly
hidden in plain sight
amidst the light of the night
dreading the darkness of the dawn
and all the terrorizing
acts of human compassion
seeking the solace of loneliness
in my closest companions
wondering how a world so beautiful
can look so ugly
we are taught to have faith
and then we learn to question it
as we seek the answers to the
questions indefinite inside of us
in the space beyond the stars
we are all alone in this together;
together but alone

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
