What am I talking about?

The frantic scriblles of a madman
The regurgitation of a sick man
The productivity of a recluse
The result of insomnia
The transcendental recordings of a wise man
The blood of a masochist
The songs of a lover
The praise of a priest
The death of a child
The lens towards beauty
The veil to reality
The path to destruction
The road to salvation
The ink on this page
The thoughts in our minds
The feelings in our hearts
The search for a soul
The paradoxical effort to articulate the ineffable
The end
The beginning
The middle
A bridge
A tunnel
The light
The dark
The shadow cast
The first breath
The last gasp
Temporal
Infinite
Indispensable
Unnecessary
Solidarity
Words
Pictures
This
That
Nothing
Everything

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
