Where in the world are we going?

Cast the dice
as I cry my lot;
cover your self in paint
           the brightest of colors
as I shroud myself in
            smoke.
Think ambiguously,
polysemous terminology
like proverbial prescriptions
metaphors we live by
ideas we die for
the intangible
the ineffable
so different
individuality masked by language
         -not lies, nor truth-
soundwaves cascading
throughout space
finding our ears
influencing our minds
bringing us together
and pulling us apart
I don’t know if I can know
anything
without killing it.
I just don’t know.
I’m sorry

how to use:

as common as carbon is a poetic stream of consciousness.
there are 3 categories of “poems”:

(i) heteroglossic synesthesia (complete poems)
(ii) hobonyms (words with no homes)
(iii) mind jerky (thoughts to chew on)

after reading a poem you have 3 options to “turn the page”

“RANDOM” – takes you to a random poetic expression
#hastags – take you to another random poem with the same theme or motif
#category – takes you to a random poem in the same category

“no one can step in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and they are not the same person” – possibly Heraclitus

just as no one can step in the same river twice, no one can have the same experience of “as common as carbon” twice
